If you are thinking of starting your GCSE English or maths this September but you’d like to improve your knowledge and skills before the course starts, you need to enrol one of our free* online GCSE preparation courses.
GCSE English preparation:
This 6 week course will focus on developing the writing skills learners will need to gain a place on a GCSE English course and are targeted at prospective adult learners at Level 2.
You will be given the GCSE English assessment on the last week of the course.
We have three courses running:
- Wednesday 16 June – 21 July 21 (12.30 – 2.30pm)
- Thursday 17 June – 22 July 21 (7.00 – 9.00pm)
- Saturday 19 June – 24 July 21 (10.00am – 12.00pm)
GCSE maths preparation:
This 11 week course will focus on developing arithmetic and algebra skills learners will need to gain a place on a GCSE maths course and are targeted at prospective adult learners at Level 1.
You will be given the GCSE maths assessment on the last week of the course.
We have two courses running:
- Wednesday 28 April – 14 July 21 (7.00 – 9.00pm)
- Saturday 01 May – 17 July 21 (9.30 – 11.30am)
Please note – attendance on these courses does not guarantee you a place on a GCSE English or maths course.

You will need to complete an online initial assessment to check your current skill level.
