CALAT Strand House – Free taster sessions week – 25 – 29 July

If you’re looking for some creative inspiration this summer, come along to our totally fab (and totally free) taster sessions week at CALAT Strand House centre between 25-29 July. 

Get creative, make some friends and learn something new in 2022!

Here’s what we’ve got on offer: (book your places on the form below)

Monday 25th:

Dip dyed papers: Make exciting colours and patterns on Japanese papers.
10 – 12pm

Chair based Yoga: Gently stretch, move, relax and breathe!
1 – 3pm

Tuesday 26th

Draw and paint to music: Listen, relax & respond – no drawing skills needed.
10 – 12pm

Introduction to embroidery: Create a beautiful design on a small pillow.
10 – 12pm

Wednesday 27th

Make a pincushion: Cut, sew, stuff and create a super cute pincushion.
10 – 12pm

Fabric printing: Explore mono printing and silkscreen printing on fabric to create an expressive and lively art piece. 10 – 12pm

Make a headband: Sew, create and make a fashionable twisted headband.
12.30 – 2.30pm

Explore collage: Have fun creating a range of different collages and make them into an accordion book. 1 – 3pm

Thursday 28th

Cupcake decorating: Decorate cakes with your child (aged 6-10), we’ll be using ladybird, bee and daisy decorations! Cakes provided. 10 – 1pm

Fabric printing: Explore mono printing and silkscreen printing on fabric to create an expressive and lively art piece. 10 – 12pm

Explore collage: Have fun creating a range of different collages and make them into an accordion book. 1 – 3pm

Friday 29th

Flower arranging: Create a hand-tied arrangement for a vase and a posy
centre piece. 10 – 1pm

Please note, we are only able to have children at the cupcake decorating session.
